My Film

It's been a trip.. That's for sure. The journey of the film began after 20 years of adventures in the business world. In 2003 I wrote a screenplay called "Manic Ride". I knew it needed work. I wasn't a trained writer but I had a solid concept and a true story (about me) that I thought could turn into a good flick with the right people behind it.

I hit the pavement working my way into the industry from the ground up, one introduction leading to another, developing interest along the way from prominent producers in the industry who would hand the script to someone they though would be interested. In 2005 my screenplay finally landed in the hands of a well known production company who wanted to make it into a feature film.

The film is about my creative experiences as told through the eyes of my amazing daughter who was 9 at the time. Her innocence, loyalty and truthfulness narrate the story of the ups and downs of inventions and entpreneurial startups from her perspective.

I realized about the time the film was going into production that it wasn't complete. I actually had not finished the story that was being made into a feature film. The screenplay had the main character learning all kinds of lessons and building a successful business, riding off into the sunset.

Since I had not done so, I decided I had to walk away from a tremendous once in a lifetime opportunity to complete the story told in the screenplay.

I have learned that life will throw many different curves at you, and that your ability to make adjustments will allow lessons to be learned and goals achieved. It was a big four year adjustment walking away from a feature film with some incredible people attached to make it real, and I can tell you these years haven't been easy.

It looks like the film now can go into production sometime in 2009 with a truthful screenplay thanks to those who believed in me and taught me the lessons needed to create howudewin.com
