Producer & Entrepreneur About MeI have been involved with business development, sales, marketing and film production with over 25 years experience. During this time, I have worked with Fortune 500 companies, Entertainment Companies and some of the must well known film producers in the industry. I have had articles in various worldwide organizations including the NY Times, Wall St Journal, Nikkei Stock Exchange and Variety and many more. My focus was taking products or services that had no market and creating a market for them. I had some tremendous success and some incredible learning experiences during this time of which I wanted to share and help with people trying to start a business or get into the entertainment industry. The Movie's I have Written For years I have talked too, filmed and interviewed artists, filmmakers, authors and musicians for a documentary I produced called Ten Talents Movie. The movie showcases an unbelievable talented community and the constant walls they face to establish themselves into the industry and manage their business and personal lives. The Movie Ten Talents has been shown in theatres across the country in major markets and will be expanding nationwide sometime in 2012.My goals now in life are focused on assisting the entrepreneur with the lessons I have learned, and since 2004 my passion has been to create a method of funding the arts that would eliminate the traditional risks of funding and perform the role of funding without taxation and artist begging. Kind of Deep Thoughts? I know it didn't make sense to me either until a few people much smarter then me explained it. Think of this way, you are constantly growing as an individual that growth at anytime can be things that happen that are good and things that happen that don't work out the way you wanted them to be. Usually, there are people involved with you at those times and whether you like it or not they will remember you from that time and think of you that way. You have the choice in life to allow them to or continue your growth, it really is that simple. It's hard to understand sometimes, that everything in the world is on a growth pattern an evolution and the moment you stop and determine that this is what I am you never get to understand what you are truly made to be. The hope of knowing that things will always change and the faith that it will and you will be ready and embrace it. I learned this over time fighting at times with the pattern of growth I was on since it wasn't all the time what I thought I should be. I realized that those struggles I went through were simple God's training for what I was to become. I realize still, I have much more growth ahead and look forward to what I will become and only hope it will be complete in what I was made to be. That's what the meaning of TEN TALENTS is; it’s a parable that talks about fully living the gifts we are born with. I have people now who want to constantly remind me of mistakes made in my life, I recognize them, I am sorry for them but at the same time I have loyal, dedicated people around constantly pushing me to what they feel I am capable of being. Which person would you follow? I am sure you have this in your own life as well, we all do. At this point in my life, I am finishing up a story I had written back in 2002 about my life as an entrepreneur, I use that turn loosely, I was actually a creative person who was using business ideas to channel my constant desire to create something new. It would much easier to take that creativity and apply it to my piano and build on a note, to make a chord to make a song as I was a musician at heart and now I have taken my experience, my journey and lesson to help others who seek to utilize the God given talents of creativity and channel it with help, to the arts. SCENE ONE: NEW YORK CITY - MADISON AVENUE I have met a life of people in my life and listened to many stories. People, who have traveled abroad, worked in the military, created vast business empires, wrote novels, screenplays and music, people who have conquered and overcome illnesses or odds and triumphed through sheer will and determination. Many of these people had lives that would fit well at any theatre in the country and at this moment, seemed to put me more out of place in my current surroundings. I was leaning back in the ridiculous overpriced black designer chair It was 2005; the location was Madison Avenue NYC in a Big Venture It seems they wanted to make my project into a feature film. A feature film about my life? It sounded like a joke, what the hell had I done? Sure I had worked at times with some of the biggest companies around and many partnered with me on my ventures. I had gotten a lot of recognition nationally and worldwide at times but nothing sustained. In fact, at this moment in this big office I was still a few months behind on the rent, my wife was upset because she couldn't get any food for the week and I was trying to figure if what I could eat in NYC and still have enough money for bus fair back to Jersey. Good thing hot dogs are only a $1.00. Really not the story films are made of. I had tried to make people laugh and enjoy life as much as possible, yet I still managed to aggravate, annoy, confuse and piss off a lot of them along the way.Who wants to watch that? I had to stop my thoughts and listen to them everyone once in a while as they planned for the production. I realized I had written the script and 90% of it was true except the ending. |
